Slow Motion Video: an Excuse for More Explosions!
In December 2016 I was given a great gift by my awesome brother Jeremy: a slow motion camera capable of capturing 2,500+ FPS video at great resolution. Here I will document and share some of the videos that I've created with this device. Please contact me with any additional video ideas!

Water Balloon + Alcohol + Fire
We were all amazed that the balloon didn't pop!
Alcohol + Spray Bottle + Fire
On video this looks totally different than it does in real-life. I should sell this for use in a "char-broiled to perfection" sort of ad!
Water Balloon
Water balloons in slow motion amaze me – there's a whole world of fluid motion that just isn't visible at normal speeds!
Honeydew + Explosive
This video is a bit dark, but the explosion is still worth it I think!
Potato vs. Watermelon
How much force can a potato cannon generate? What would a speeding potato do to a ripe watermelon? Watch to find out!
Jackson Chameleon vs. Cockroach
Guess who wins ;)? While on family vacation in Hawaii, I convinced the gang to drive up to Waimea, where we proceeded to scour the bushes on the side of the road for Jackson chameleons, one of my favorite animals. With enough time and patience, we realized they were everywhere -- within a few hours we had spotted 5. This female was pretty hungry, so I grabbed a few roaches from under rocks and held them out in tweezers for her to grab one by one. Her balance, eyesight, and aim are simply amazing. This video was shot with an iPhone; in the near future I hope to replicate it with my Edgertronic for better resolution and framerate.
Lime in a Potato Cannon (Against a Wall)
I think the title says it all!
Kafir Lime in a Potato Cannon (Against a Wall)
This is a fancy twist on the above theme. This lime weighed approximately 40g.
Water on Wall
I had to wash off all of those limes!
Popcorn
The snack doesn't always agree with me, but this video does!
Pumpkin Drop
What happens when you drop a home-grown 75lb pumpkin off of a 30 foot deck onto concrete pavers below? Watch and learn!
